The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum is the custodian of the largest collection of surviving locomotives and rolling stock from the historic Maine 2-foot railroads. Based on the waterfront at Portland Harbor, the MNGRR operates an indoor museum inside the old Portland Company factory building. It also runs a scenic excursion train on a 1.5 mile stretch of track along the city's Eastern Promenade, featuring beautiful views of the harbor and Casco Bay. In this photo, the former Monson Railroad #4, a 20-ton Vulcan Forney, hauls a late afternoon train westbound in the Portland Company Yard.
