Remarks & Notes
Out of the murk... Mount Washington Cog Railway #9, Waumbek descends out of the clouds at 4700 MSL on Jacob's Ladder...the steepest portion of the line. This was an extremely lucky shot. Not 30 seconds before the train came, the visibility where I was standing was little more than 100 ft. The break in the clouds that provided just enough lighting for an acceptable shot lasted less than a minute....long enough. I guess the weather gods knew the effort it took to get to this place and took pity on a cold, tired photographer!
