| Goodnight Sauchton... Another location for photography has vanished due to electrification. This was it earlier in the year, before the work began. The location marks the junction between the main lines to Glasgow and Aberdeen on the outskirts of Edinburgh, though the actual rail junction is now about a mile to the east. Another chapter in the transport history of the area is soon to be written with the introduction of trams, due to start running in 2011. |
