| The very last unpatched and unrenumbered DRGW unit on the UP roster, DRGW 5371, rolls downgrade thru Kyune, Utah. 5371 and the trailing SD 40-2 had been dispatched earlier from Helper to go west over Soldier Summit to Rio siding to retrieve the 3 trailing GE’s and return them to Helper. This turned out to be 5371’s very last trip over Soldier Summit and I caught it on this beautiful winter day after an overnite snow. I was standing in hip deep snow when I took this shot. |
