| Under low cloud and drizzle, 1802 waits for the loading of the shuttle to conclude at Whittier before heading off to Portage in August 1985. The photographer was lucky to get a return cab ride in 1802 from Portage, as the railroad was the only land transport able to access Whittier at the time. The boat carrying contraption was an added bonus!
