Steamtrain departing Läufelfingen station on the old Hauenstein line. In a few seconds the train will disapear in the 2495 metre long Hauenstein tunnel, going down towards Olten in a grade of 2.7 %. Locomotive 52 8055 was built in 1943 during second world war as 52 1649 by Graffenstaden/Alsace for the Deutsche Reichsbahn, later in 1962 reconstructed with new boiler by Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) in the former DDR and in 1998 heavily rebuilt with "modern steam" technology by SLM Winterthur (Roger Waller). |
