| The passage of time is evident around the door latch mechanism of this venerable PS box car. The D&RGW 69441 was built by Pressed Steel Company for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad in October 1940. Nearly 70 years later, the car is living on borrowed time as the underframe is cracked beyond repair. |
