Remarks & Notes
The tram restoration workshop at the National Tramway Museum in Crich, Derbyshire. On the right can be seen Blackpool No 167. This was built in 1928 by English Electric in Preston at a cost cost of £2,000. They were designed for interurban use and of American appearance and has a capacity of 48 seated passengers. It has a pantograph mounted on a tall tower. It is 40 ft long and has air-brakes. The tram on the right has no top deck, as yet. You can see where preparations are being made for its fitment. The first seat is in place and the brackets for the remainder can be seen fitted. The workshop was built using a Heritage Lottery grant and provides clean light conditions for the restoration staff to work in.
