A rare mileage run for CalRail 2020 in Ventura's convention, departs Saticoy, heading east to Piru. Saticoy depot is pretty much intact from what the Southern Pacific had built here (although now used by a lumber yard). This train was originally to run from Montalvo (west of here, and home to a Metrolink station serving the Ventura Sub) but trackwork cut the run back to Saticoy. Montalvo to Santa Paula on this line is Union Pacific freight only. Fillmore & Western runs dinner and tourist trains on the line Santa Paula to Piru (but freight ends at Kevet). From Piru to Saugus, the line is torn up.
