| The scarlet bloody nose of this classic high nose EMD seems all the more bold amid a late winter snow squall. Thanks to the fine folks at the Utah State Railroad Museum it's not hard to imagine that it's the 1960s and Ogden is still the true "Crossroads of the West." According to Don Strack's fabulous Utah Rails web site "SP 3769 was built as SP 5733; renumbered to SP 3574 in 1965; remanufactured to SP GP9E 3769 in September 1974; retired by SP in (?); donated to Ogden Union Station." |
