Remarks & Notes
A very late Amtrak #3, the Italic Southwest Chief (or was it the Southwest Limited in 1979?) blasts through San Dimas on its way to Los Angeles. Led by a trio of EMD SDP40Fs, the train is making good time through southern California's San Gabriel Valley, and will end its trip from Chicago in about a half-hour.
