Remarks & Notes |
Soo 802, 2204C roll #912 into Trout Lake with 130 cars on beautiful fall morning. Soo U30C's were not real common on the East end of the system as they were quite unreliable. If a unit were to fail on a train of this size it would pretty much be "dead in the water" and need to either wait until it could be met by another train to borrow a unit or doubled of tripled to sidings to clear the main. Normal power assignments were 2 units per train one 6 axle and one 4 axle east of Gladstone at that time so borrowing a unit often wasn't an option. |
