SD40-2s as far as the eye can see line the BNSF Fontana Logistics Center. Reportedly placed here as long ago as February, when they were retired off the BNSF roster, this line of what one ex-Burlington Northern man (Al) tells me were great locomotives, includes iconic #7812, the only SD40-2 to be painted in the "GP50 Scheme" with white face and BN on the nose. Both the present owner and fate of these units are unknown.
