When snow comes to Cajon Pass, southern California's railfan descend upon the area in order to get photos for next winter's Christmas cards. In January 1988, a westbound Santa Fe train, in the charge of an SD45-2, an SD40-2, an ex-Amtrak SDP40F and another SD45-2, passes through the Mormon Rocks area on its way toward Los Angeles.
