Sadly, on January 4, 2010, Richard Markle, long-time conductor on the WMSR, boarded that “Great Train” in the sky. Mr Markle was a beloved railroader, who took his job seriously. He exuded an unequalled passion for the railroad, and loved being around railroaders & rail fans of all ages. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
