| Soo 407,2200C,721 have the 95 cars of train 911 moving along at a good clip passing Caffey. The 407 with masking tape on about every seam show the efforts some head end crews went to eliminate the cold drafts that the elderly geeps and F units were known for. The 407 was retired in early 1980 after wreck damage at Fairmont, ND. The second unit 2200C was Soo Lines last F3B and was traded in on a new GP38-2 only 4 months after this photo. |
