| With the weather being less than ideal for train photography, I spent Presidents' Day afternoon running errands and shopping at the Gateway Mall in downtown Salt Lake City. I spotted this visage from the balcony of the upstairs level of the mall development. This perspective looks east along Karl Malone Drive (First South) from Rio Grande Street (450 West). A TRAX LRV heads south toward the Planetarium station stop along the Sandy line. At center, cranes work to complete the huge City Creek development south of Temple Square on Main Street. It's phenomenal how much construction is going on right now in the heart of Salty City. What recession? |
