Dark Horse The horsehead era on NS has not been kind to the railroads fleet of highhoods, many of them have been chopped and rebuilt or flat out retired, gone are the SD40's, the GP38AC, the GP40X's and the GP50's are all but gone. The GP38-2's, always the workhorses of the fleet have soldiered on and it was good to see the 5037 resplendent in a coat of shiny horsehead paint as it sits awaiting Mondays work at the Chamblee Yard office.
A collection of engines, cabooses, cars, etc., great and small that are past their prime, but represent a spirit of railroading that will never pass away!!
