Remarks & Notes

The Sunset Railway was, at this time, operated jointly by the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific, heading south and west out of Bakersfield at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley. On March 6, 1992, the Sunset Railway's train is powered by (Southern Pacific subsidiary) Cotton Belt GP40-2 7257, operating long hood forward.
