| LS&I 1850,1803,1801 swing through the cut and start to pour out some Alco smoke as they head to Tilden Mine with 60 empties. This scene could be repeated virtually everyday at about 4:00PM and sometimes you even had a second train a few minutes behind if the 3PM yard or hill job also needed to go to the mines. All a person really needed was the cooperation of the normally fickle Upper Michigan weather. |
