A deadheading special starts to move again at CP Main Street alongside the Los Angeles River, near downtown LA. The train began at Oakland at 5AM. I saw it first at CP Olive in Burbank at 4:39 PM, and then caught up with it again 20 minutes later, here at CP Main Street. The consist included 1955 Pullman Standard biz car, Sunset (UPP 150), 1927 Pullman Standard biz car, Stanford (UPP 140), and inspection car Idaho (UPP 203) rebuilt from a 1950 ACF sleeper. The next day the train ran UP clients around the LA Basin.
