| I was born too late to see the real L&N of a generation ago, but here in southern Tennessee the past comes alive. A lovingly restored Alco earns some money for the Southern Appalachia Railroad museum as she switches loaded haz-waste cars that will ultimately be destined for interchange to the NS at Blair and delivery out west for disposal. This railroad is on the grounds of the massive decommissioned K-25 Uranium Enrichment Plant. |
