"These mills they built the tanks and bombs, That won this country's wars..." To an outsider such as myself, Bethlehem Steel was truly incomprehensible in its scale and complexity. An aging hulk, incredibly imposing, yet melancholy and pitiable in its final days. With only a matter of weeks left before the blast furnaces would fall silent and cold, I was fortunate enough to see this monument to American Might before it was too late.
