| Former Southern Pacific GS-4 class steam engine 4449 was restored to operable condition for use on the American Freedom Train in the mid-1970s. The Lima-built 4-8-4 hauled the traveling museum around most of the country in 1975 and 1976 to help celebrate the American Bicentennial. |
