General Belgrano Railroad's meter-gauge General Electric 75t. #5767 makes a rare appearance heading through-freight train number 5004, as it enters Saldias Yard in Buenos Aires. Being the premier freight train of the line, General Belgrano RR. always allocated his biggest and newest power to the daily runs from Guemes, in the northern Province of Salta, to Saldias in Buenos Aires. But in this day the old order has taken the place of the newer diesels. Number 5767, originally equipped with a 910HP Cooper-Bessemer diesel engine, was built by GE in 1950.
The worst of railroad design. Please, send me your entries / suggestions for the "Album of the ugly trains of the world" (past or present, paint scheme or shape).
