| On a extremely hot, humid July 6 the 3PM Tilden is blasting upgrade through Palmer Line Junction with 60 loads. RSD15's 2402 and 2404 are spliced by U23C 2303 on this scorching day. Dust is blowing off the waste rock pile from the nearby Empire mine and the head brakeman has the cab door wide open trying to catch a breeze. The heat and humidity was so intense on this July day that my Cousin and I went through two twelve packs of Pepsi. |
