Remarks & Notes
The Class 185 has just emerged from the 2-mile long Morley Tunnel (1848) and passed through Morley Station. On the horizon is the truncated spire of the now redundant St. Margarets-in-the-Field church. The train is passing the seldom-photographed Daisy Hill area of Morley and is is heading for Middlesbrough via Leeds. Behind the train is an uncontrolled footpath crossing of the line. Sadly, this crossing was the scene of a fatality in March this year when a local girl was struck by a train whilst walking her dog.
