Remarks & Notes
The grand hall of Denver's Union Station, built in 1914, was designed by architects Gove & Walsh in the Beaux-Arts style. During its heyday, the station was served by 80 daily trains operated by six different railroads. Things are quieter today with RTD light rail, buses and Amtrak's California Zephyr providing transportation services. Here early morning riders await the arrival of train #5 from Chicago.
