Westbound auto rack train screams west about 5 miles west of Galesburg, near Cameron. In late 1995 the BNSF was only a few months into the merge, but only 3 of these F45's remained in service as many of them were retired in 1994. The 5970 was 1 of 3 F45's to make it into the BNSF renumbering, 5953, 5970, and 5975 did. This unit became the BNSF 6551 in October 1998, but seen service only til May 1999, then it was retired in May 2002, and eventually scraped in July 2004.
