On a sunny and warm afternoon in Salt Lake City, Union Pacific's Roper, UT to Green River, WY freight picks up a little momentum emerging from the numerous switches and signals through Grant Tower. UP C44-9W #9738 was retired after involvement in a serious wreck on the CSX in May 1995. After repairs were made it was reinstated to the active roster late in 1996.
