A North Platte, NE, to Proviso, IL, manifest train is about to cross the Mississippi River Bridge and from Iowa to Illinois. The train has just changed crews at Clinton and will now blast thru Illinois to Chicago. This is one of the few photo I have with CNW GP 50's in it. Most of the GP 50's were retired in 2002, and most of the SD40's retired late 2008.
