Just after the turn of the century the tracks in Joliet were elevated, and signals were mounted in various ways. several hundred feet from UD tower a searchlight high mast signal stood for years at this location (on the metal platform) but it began to lean, to point I wasn't sure what kept it up. I knew it's days were numbered, and on July 9, 2010 it's wires were cut and it was replaced with this new color light tri mount dwarf signal.
