Remarks & Notes |
Another gem of the "Swiss Steamlocomotive Collection": E 2/2 3 "ZEPHIR" with a short train of HEG cars is leaving Choindez II tunnel in the Jura mountain range. The little locomotive was built in 1874 by Krauss Munich for the "Bödelibahn" in Interlaken, belongs to the Swiss Museum of Transport Lucerne, but is based in Delémont. Because it has no air brake and is running with 25 km p.h. (15,5 miles per hour) only, it can be seen on the line very very rare. The locomotive is pulling baggage car F 17463 and passenger car C2 5906 of association "Historische Eisenbahn Gesellschaft" (HEG). |
