With a rosy glow in the western sky, Union Pacific's Salt Lake to Los Angeles intermodal curves west through a superelevated curve just east of Erda, Utah. In the distance is Stansbury Island, the Great Salt Lake, the former Western Pacific main to Oakland and Interstate 80.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
