Just after sunset, a sequentially numbered pair of GP38-2's finishing assembling Q302 for a final run East before the Labor Day slowdown. From this unique view you can see the entire Clifton Forge Yard proper, the old C&O shops top left, part of the old Smith Creek Yard (now the home of the COHS Heritage Center) at the bottom, and the CSX fuel pad, designed to allow locomotive refueling, without uncoupling from their trains, located top right.
