| A visit to Markham Yard on Chicago's south side just before Christmas 1955 resulted in this picture. My railfan buddies father contemplates IC 2513 and 2511 as they sit on a roundhouse lead just after being serviced. The only sounds to be heard were from the locomotives themselves, the sound that only a live steam locomotive can make. I'll never forget them. |
