The westbound Boston section of Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited crosses a reservoir in Ashland, just west of Framingham. Full disclosure: I'm no fan of the Genesis units, but here the boxy side of the locomotive helped it stand out against the foliage and stone. In fact, after making this same photo the previous day, I liked it so much that I drove back here from Connecticut to take a back up slide in case the first one didn't turn out (pre-digital, remember). This time the water was much more calm, and the reflection much better. Who says it's never so good the second time around?
