Fifty two years after being delivered to the South African Railways from the USA, the first of the class 31 Bo-Bo's (GE U12B) survives in service with Sheltam, but rebuilt with a low short hood. No.22 is seen hauling waste from a dump near Harmony's No.2 shaft, to the exchange siding with Harmony Gold. This loco is due for a heavy overhaul and work has started on sanding off the old paint, which is why it is not looking its best!
