Remarks & Notes

Shatner on the Shore Line. Much of the filming for the 1979 ABC-TV movie 'Disaster on the Coastliner', set in California, actually took place in Southeastern Connecticut. Here, a disgruntled engineer, second from right in the F40 group, has turned his locomotive into a runaway on a busy passenger corridor. It's up to William Shatner, just to the right of the cameraman, to save the day. A helicopter crew is trying to pluck both of them off the 213 to safety.
