Remarks & Notes
Late one night in Virginia, the crew discovers a hidden coupler within the pilot and decide to secretly run a double header with N&W #610. No photos exist of the event... In actuality, it is unlikely any mainline steam engine was ever built without front couplers and more then a few streamliners were eventually bumped from passenger service and went on to finish thier careers hauling freight where a coupler became more useful for switching, double heading and towing. bw

Photos by some of the best railroad still photographers in North America. These photographers must have a significant impact on the art form and have been shooting (or shot in the past) for at least 10 years.
