Remarks & Notes
Steam or Electric? How 'bout both! Finally turned up a location to shoot the Seattle Monorail only to find they plastered a nice red 4-6-0 steamer on the side, which apparently is electric, because it has no tender. Something to do with a movie about a Hairy Potter playing at the Seattle's Pacific Science Center. The monorail is at least as interesting as the movie prop. Opening in 1962 for the World's Fair and operating over a 1 mile long double track mainline, it carries about 1.5 million passengers a year, and is claimed by it's private owner's to be the only self-sufficient public transit system. This trainset has traveled over a million miles. Bonus: For all you supporters of Mitch Goldman's mission to see dogs on trains, see if you can spot Spot. He's real not a movie prop.

Pace and pan shots of trains. If you're not in the locomotive cab or on-board the train, it's the next best thing to being there.
