| The summer of 2008 was beginning to be a time of change on the LS&I as different units were being tested to replace the U30/C30's that had wiped out the Alco's and the U23/25C's in 1988. A number of different units were tried over the next year or so until it was settled on a group of AC4400's. This shot of the 7AM Tilden at Palmer Line Jct. has U-boat 3000 leading ex UP/CNW SD60 5968. The SD60's didn't seem to work much better in 2008 than they had 2 decades earlier when CNW tried them in this service replacing the C628 fleet. |
