Remarks & Notes
Shortly before 6 a.m. on April 10th NECR's northbound train 323 hit a washout in Westminster VT along the Connecticut River. The lead unit made it over, and as you can see the trailing units weren't so lucky. It was determined that water diverted from a field above the tracks was the cause. Scanned from a Kodachrome 64 slide.
