In the waning days of steam, we made several trips to Burlington's Clyde Yard in Cicero to find steam survivors. After we spent some time near the roundhouse shooting the CB&Q O5a 4-8-4s, we heard a steam locomotive working out in the yard and investigated. Today was indeed our lucky day! CB&Q 4961 was shunting cars around and she too looked like she had just been released from the shops. Shiny black paint, white canvas storm curtains and a shiny number plate were nice accents. Here we see CB&Q 4961 thundering past us with a plume of steam at her safety valve.
