| An original B&O stamped crosstie still remains on the old B&O branch line from Charleston to Gassaway. The line was later taken over by the Penn Central, Conrail, and eventually Norfolk Southern. It's quite evident that very little MOW work was performed on this branch, as the crosstie dates back to the 1950's and older. The line is now abandoned and will possibly face reactivation in the upcoming years. |
