General Mitre Railroad linked Buenos Aires and Córdoba with three daily trains during summertime months; this is one of them, the all-coach, non-air conditioned Number 298 "El Serranoche", making its scheduled arrival at Retiro Terminal Station in a clear January morning. The empty auto-rack next to the locomotive is rare, since automobile-hauling was reserved to patrons of the luxury counterparts of Number 298, the all-air conditioned number 293/294 "Rayo de Sol".
