Remarks & Notes
Tucked away at Blue Mountain Energy's Deserado Mine, the east end of the Deseret Power Railway, is this old speeder used by maintenance-of-way forces. The logo on the flank remains that of Western Fuels - Utah, Inc., the original operator of the mine, railroad and Bonanza Power Plant. In the background, the morning train is a dozen or so cars into the loading process, though on this day departure would be delayed until nearly Noon after the shop crew decided to spend a few hours repairing brakes on the coal cars. Photo from railroad property taken with permission.

A tribute of appreciation to the workers who maintain the track, keeping our railways in shape regardless of weather and danger, and keeping them running effeciently.
