Remarks & Notes
The Ghost Town & Calico Railroad's restored Rio Grande Southern Galloping Goose awaits the next weekday, when lower crowds see it being substituted for the steam train. This is one of the original RGS Galloping Geese, built between 1931 and 1935 in the company's Ridgeway, CO shops with a Pierce-Arrow body. A Wayne school bus body was installed installed in a 1945 rebuild. The entire box had to be rebuilt by Knott's a few years ago. The engine is fairly new (the third or fourth) but the insides are pure RGS.
