Remarks & Notes |
Back in the GDR, border soldiers regularly observed the freight trains bringing supply for the troops based at the summit of the Brocken mountain in the Harz. The former border to West Germany was very close and the soldiers wanted to avoid any escape attempt to the West. The HSB 99 7232 is masquerading as the Deutsche Reichsbahn 99 0732 (The "0" means that the engine is fuel fired as it used to be in the past during DR days). A Bernd Seiler charter. |
