An eastbound CSX unit coal train drops downgrade through Richmond, VA on the James River Viaduct on Feb 12, 2011 with AC4400CWs No's. 528 and 416. The building behind the locomotive is the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, one of the first high rise buildings built along Richmond's riverfront. The bridge piers in the lower right are from the former ACL (and previously Richmond & Petersburg) bridge. It was ACL's entrance to Richmond until RF&P and ACL built a new structure about two miles upstream in 1919. It survived for years as ACL's connection to the C&O, but was dismantled in the early 1970's under SCL.
